Starting March 3, 2025, the Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) will be enforcing the existing policy that all grant proposals must be submitted at least four business days before the sponsor’s deadline. To ensure adequate time for review, proposals will only be submitted by the institution if the complete proposal is submitted to SPA four business days prior to the sponsor’s deadline. 

This policy aims to give SPA sufficient time to thoroughly review proposals for compliance with the latest regulations and to minimize errors. With ongoing federal transitions, evolving policies, and staffing limitations, this adjustment is necessary to manage SPA’s workload efficiently. As a result, you may need to revise your internal proposal preparation timelines.
