Event Recap:
On April 15, CSBS hosted a lunchtime discussion for assistant and associate professors focused on navigating the increasingly complex federal funding landscape. As researchers face heightened funding uncertainty paired with promotion and tenure considerations, the event created space for candid conversation, brainstorming, and support.
The group discussed alternative pathways for sustaining research, including seeking out private or foundation funding. CSBS emphasized its role in helping faculty think through these options and identify opportunities that align with their goals, especially for those whose research may not currently be supported with the shifting federal priorities (learn more on how to work with the Office of Foundation Relations).
CSBS encouraged faculty to continue sharing how we can support them.
