Interdisciplinary Networks

CSBS brings together researchers from diverse fields to tackle some of society’s most pressing challenges using pioneering methodological approaches. Through our collaborative networks, experts can explore complex questions in social and behavioral science, creating innovative solutions that address critical societal issues.

Our interdisciplinary groups provide resources and infrastructure for researchers to exchange ideas, build new partnerships, and coordinate research activities that span multiple disciplines. These efforts often lead to cutting-edge research addressing societal problems while promoting the development of new methodologies and advancing interdisciplinary science.

Illinois Diversity & Equity Science

The Illinois Diversity & Equity Science (IDES) working group is committed to combining different disciplinary perspectives and applying a diverse set of empirical tools to understand and ameliorate inequality across a variety of dimensions.

Qualitative Research Initiative

The Qualitative Research Initiative (QRI) was developed to support and advance the use of qualitative and mixed methods in social and behavioral science. The QRI is a collaborative effort between passionate social and behavioral scientists on our campus who use qualitative and mixed methods with support and resources available through the Center for Social and Behavioral Science (CSBS).
