Spearheading the Inequity & Poverty Grand Challenge, Elsa supports research addressing the root causes of inequity and poverty as well as potential solutions and other issues related to the challenge.
Elsa also directs CSBS’s Policy and Research Legislative Fellows program and co-directs the Community Academic Scholars program, both of which provide experiences to students in conducting research outside the university for the public good.

Elsa’s educational background includes a MA in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in Political Science at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
