Peter Ondish

Role at CSBS: Research Scientist

I received my PhD in Social Psychology and MS in Statistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I worked in the Culture and Social Behavior Lab, run by Dr. Dov Cohen, and the Political Ideology and Groups Lab, run by Dr. Chadly Stern. Prior to graduate school, I received my B.S. in Biology from Allegheny College, where I studied evolution and animal behavior.

Research Interests:

My current research investigates a) how technology can be used to nudge individuals to make decisions that increase their health and well-being, and b) misinformation on social media. I also investigate general social psychology topics, specifically, how political ideology shapes our understanding of society and relates to each other.
